Being a provider of outsourced mining services in the mining industry, the number of JIC Mining Services' (JIC's) employees continuously varies according to its contracts. At present JIC has approximately 7200 employees, of which some are foreign citizens from Mozambique, Swaziland, Lesotho and Botswana.

JIC distinguishes between Category A employees (skilled labourers) and Category B employees (semi-skilled labourers).

Taking Women in Mining into cognisance, JIC already employs 91 female employees in operational occupations.
